Columnar Basalt Earrings | Sterling Silver + Sonoran Gold Turquoise
Inspired by the rock formation, columnar basalt. The striking rock formation comes from lava that cooled rapidly creating long vertical cracks that, in turn, look like man made hexagonal pillars. They're found around the world, but some very special formations exist in the West -- Trout Creek in Oregon and Devil's Postpile in California are just a few to know. Additionally, these inspired earrings feature a sweet nugget of Sonoran Gold turquoise of a moody green color with flecks of gold. A nod to the lichen that makes in home in the West and even on some of these basalt formations.
Whether rock formations and lichen intrigue you or not, these earrings are a beautiful glimmer of silver and stone.
Sizing: 1 3/4 in. in total length. Standard earing post centered on back of stone.
