Meet the Maker

Hi, I'm Bethany Moss the maker behind Wandering Moss.

Every wanderer has a home and mine is the American West. I like to say that I was born and raised in California, I came to my own in Washington, and now I reside in Oregon. But, there are many places across the West that I've known to feel like home. Open spaces, deep mountain ranges, big skies, and precious waters have shaped the person I am. These are the places I know, the places that inspire me, and the stories I want to tell with my hands.

I can't really pinpoint the time where I started creating. It's been the thread that has woven its way throughout my life. It has looked different in different seasons. From ceramics to painting to woodworking, I've dabbled and found a part of myself in so many mediums. In 2017, I picked up silversmithing and it immediately resonated with me. It has felt like a culmination of my creativity and has brought me tremendous joy. A joy that I want to share.

My sincere hope is that Wandering Moss would be an expression of creativity through jewelry and other mediums that reminds you of the best parts of the West.
